7728 N. Sheridan Development Proposal
A developer has proposed a 52-unit apartment complex with 9 parking spaces for 7728 N. Sheridan Road and Juneway Terrace. Although some Juneway Terrace residents have off-street parking, many residents of apartment and condo buildings on nearby streets (Juneway, Jonquil, Sheridan, Ashland, Eastlake Terrace) rely on Juneway Terrace street parking for themselves and for their visitors.
The proposed developer is framing the project as Equitable Transit-Oriented Development (ETOD). The parcel does not provide safe access to nearby mass transit (the closest El is the Howard stop, and CTA buses do not travel on Sheridan north of Howard Street).
